A FIVE DAY INTENSIVE DRAWING COURSE IN SUMMER 2013, in Argyll, Scotland, with tutor FREDA WALDAPFEL
No experience is required or expected - this class is for anyone who would like to be able to draw.
If you can read, write, ride a bike or drive a car you can also learn to draw! Maybe you would like to sketch for relaxation, or while on holiday? Draw portraits of your children perhaps, or teach your pupils to draw if you are a primary school teacher? Could being able to draw be helpful in your work?
In this intensive taught course you will learn the basic skills of drawing, each lesson building on the one before. The course is based on the principles of Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain by Betty Edwards. (Several students have gone on to study art, and as I write one student is doing a summer school at The Slade, but at the very least you will have the basic drawing skills and the confidence to take further classes if you should wish to.)
'Enabled me to produce work I had never expected myself capable of.
I could never have done this without her expert step by step guidance'
'I have enjoyed every second of this course.
I feel as if what I have learnt here will give me enjoyment for the rest of my life.'
'Lovely relaxed atmosphere, but with serious helpful teaching'
